What is it?
Rebeat Digital is a standard Software package, created on experiences of musicians for musicians. It is plain and transparent not only in handling, but likewise in the accounting.
Where do I get information about my sales and when do I get my money?
In the Rebeat Music Distribution Software you will find a menu item, which displays the sales figures. Very precisely you will be able to see, in which country you sold how much. Once a month Rebeat will be transferring the collected amounts, thereby Rebeat keeps 15% distribution margin and eventually incidental copyright fees. If less then 50,– Euros will incur monthly, the amount will be transferred, as soon as hitting the 50,– Euro range.
If the 50,– Euro range can not be hit in up to three years, the amount will be degenerated and donated to a social project by Rebeat Digital
Which rights do I have to assign to REBEAT Digital?
You just have to subrogate the digital distribution rights and the origins complience, that is essential for distribution. As mentioned before – we are no Record Company, but only a Distributor. Therefore: All other rights (copyrights, master rights) will remain the musicians/producers property.
What are EAN/UPC und ISRC codes needed for?
The EAN/UPC code verifies your complete product. If someone is downloading your complete product
(e. g. an Album), the accounting works through the EAN/UPC code.
If someone is downloading a single track out of a complete product, the accounting works through the ISRC code.
Therefore each product needs to have an EAN/UPC code, and each track needs to have an ISRC code.
The codes, which you may eventually purchase on the Software, can further be used for your physical CD as well.
How much time does the Upload of a complete album take?
As we need the files in .wav-dimensions (16bit, 44,1 kHz), it is inherently possible that it takes up to one hour.
But of course this most of all depends on the type of your internet connection.
In case, that the connection is interrupted during an upload for any reason, don’t lose heart – the REBEAT Digital Software will restart your session just exactly on that level, where it was cancelled before.
You do not have to restart all over again!
How long will it take, until my songs are available everywhere?
We regularly export your music to the stores inbetween 48 hours.
(After encoding it into the required formats)
Then it takes between 3 days and up to 90 days, until they will be “live” everywhere.
This depends on the differing and in some cases very complicated verification processes of the stores.
iTunes in general needs the longest time, you may have to wait up to 8 weeks for it.
Musicload, Napster, Saturn and many others are regularly done within 14 days.
Promotion
REBEAT Digital is a Distributor. Rebeat Digital provides the portals with your songs.
The musician/producer has to care about the promotion, as ever before.
We are no Record Company, no A&R Managers, no Promotion- or Marketing agency.

How can I always keep my Software Version up-to-date?
No need to worry! Every time you will be restarting the REBEAT Digital Software, it will automatically search for the latest version and install it if available.
When is a Mac version of the REBEAT Digital software available?
Bith PC and Mac OS are supported. Please check out the requirements for further information.
What about mechanical royalties?
In Europe most of the stores pay the fees to the particular societies for musical performing and mechanical reproduction rights themselves. But everywhere else in the world, in the U.S., in Australia, in Japan, the stores do not take care of the mechanical royalties processing at all, so you yourself are responsible for the correct billing of it! Though, to do this all alone and worldwide is nearly impossible. Some may take this circumstance lightly, as long as this giant still slumbers, but originators will thump on their rights and therefore on the musicians doors in near future. REBEAT Digital looks ahead and prevents you from any of this trouble. Wherever it is needed, REBEAT Digital automatically incurs the effort of a correct mechanical royalties processing through the Austrian “Austro-Mechana” who is taking care of the further transmission of the monies worldwide. If you yourself are not a member of a mechanical royalties society, it only means, that you will not get any royalties from the worldwide sells of your music.
